“The Illustrated Musician”
Three years in the making, (drawn, written, designed and edited by yours truly) it’s a pithy, amusing, gossipy little art book of 100 famous musicians (jazz, rock, folk, pop and even country and western) for music lovers of any age.
Not only is the content top-notch, the materials are A-1 too: excellent 4-colour printing on 80 lb. silk, acid-free paper, perfect bound with a highly laminated cover (resists drink spills.) This is also a very, very limited edition, which makes it even more valuable. I’d never advocate cutting up a book, but each and every one of the pieces in this book is totally frame-worthy. I’m extremely proud of how it’s turned out.
This was a bucket-list project for me. I decided to do it when I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I’m not making any profit off this book, and that’s not what it’s about anyway. It’s about leaving something behind that’s beautiful and permanent. There are now two copies of it in the Canadian Library and Archives in Ottawa.
If you’d like a copy of “The Illustrated Musician” – just send an e-transfer for $58 (includes postage and handling) to my email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
I’ll post it to you right away.
If you’d like it personally signed, I’m happy to do that. Let me know what you’d like me to write if it’s a gift.
Thanks for supporting the arts.
